Las Vegas, NV – In an event that gathered parents, community leaders, and concerned citizens about the direction of education in the state, Moms for Liberty – Clark County held its Member Meeting this Friday at the Nevada Republican Club of Las Vegas.

The meeting, focused on giving voice to all concerns and proposals about education in Nevada, featured Chelsy Fischer, School Board Trustee, Cody Whipple, candidate for Nevada’s 4th District, and David Flippo, candidate for Congress in the same district.

Chelsy Fischer addressed the most urgent problems facing schools in the state, from the collapse of academic standards to deficiencies in special education, stressing that all voices must be heard to find lasting solutions.

Cody Whipple emphasized the importance of more committed citizens stepping up and engaging in public life, reminding attendees that defending education requires leaders with integrity and courage.

In his remarks, David Flippo placed strong emphasis on the urgent need to restore academic quality in Nevada. He highlighted that parents must play an active and central role in decisions affecting their children’s education, and that transparency in school management is essential to rebuild trust in the system. Flippo explained that core subjects—math, reading, and science—must once again be the top priority, warning against the risk of distracting education with ideologies that do not contribute to real learning.

He also underlined that strengthening family values is the foundation of a stable society and a solid education system. Without engaged families and committed communities, reforms cannot be sustained in the long run. “Quality education is a moral duty to our children and grandchildren; it will determine the future of Nevada,” Flippo stated.

The Moms for Liberty event brought together a diverse community of parents, grandparents, taxpayers, and future candidates, all focused on the same goal: building a more transparent, stronger, and student-centered education system in Nevada.
